On Friday night at the shops I found this beauty! A 1963 Morris Mini 850. Cute enough on its own. But what I saw on the parcel shelf made me saw "Awww!".
Mini farm! What a cute idea!

Modest Dreams
My husband and I bought a unit at auction over the weekend. A cute little early 60's number by the seaside.
Now I spend my nights laying awake contemplating space maximisation and decor.
My main inspirations is IKEA. The front of the catalogue says "A home doesn't have to be big, just smart." I love that! So many good ideas to be stolen. Below are some of my favourite items.

Madame Fancy Pants
While on a recent holiday to Wellington, New Zealand, I stumbled across a lovely store. It's name was Madame Fancy Pants.
Located in the uber trendy Cuba Street, I was browsing around at all the lovely goodies and finalising some purchases. I picked up some sweet lollipops and pencils for friends back home, all with lovely quotes.
Meanwhile my husband was getting plenty of helpful advice from the store owner, and having a map drawn for us on what we should check out in the city. All in all a charming experience!
Why not check out the accessories and friendly items on their site here?

1967
Okay - so I'm still obsessing about Small Faces.
My heart still beats fast when I watch Small Faces film clips, dance and sing along to them in my car.
I thought I would inflict it upon all of you in the form of an Etsy treasury. There are parts of the late 60's for all to love. It reminds me a little of the hippy stage I went through when I was 13 & 14. I guess that's one of the reasons why I love this style of music and it makes me happy!
Enjoy this little taste of 60's style courtesy of wonderful Etsy sellers.

New Zealand
My husband and I have just returned from a lovely 2 1/2 week trip to New Zealand. We saw cities, complete and crumbled, patted livestock, ate raspberry licorice, drove, ferried, walked, played in the snow and listened to The Kinks, Rolling Stones and Small Faces.

GollyBard
GollyBard is a brand created by Holly Ward Bimba. She works on watercolours in her cottage in Virginia. The inspiration of her works are her natural surrounds. These include flora and fauna, life and death. Here are a few of my favourites from her Etsy.
I love the use of soft natural colours mixed with fine lines to create beautiful patterns within the works.
Sea Hawk by the Crystal Sea
This is a custom print and pendant for Sharon. We worked together on the ideas for this piece to make the perfect gift for Sharon's daughter who is said to have the spirit of a sea hawk. The sheet music chosen for this sketch was the antique 'By The Crystal Sea'. Published in 1886 I found it courtesy of The Graphics Fairy.

There is more joy in giving...
I thought I'd share with you a couple of presents my husband and I gifted each other for our anniversary last week.
These particular ones are from lovely Etsy buyers around the world.
I was lucky enough to receive a couple of gifts from my Etsy favourites list. Here is my now beloved Meghan ring by IndigoSilverStudio. The garnet in my ring is almost black but has a red tinge in the sun. It is stunning. I am wearing it stacked with two tiny gold hammered rings on either side.
Also received this over sized kaleidoscope locket from verabel which I had been eyeing off from months!
I couldn't resist purchasing a couple of things from Etsy for Sean too. A couple of moustache waxes from MansFaceStuff.
And this card from Sycamorestreetpress was perfect for Sean! He is a pirate, cowboy and lumberjack after all. To cater for all these persona's, I also purchased him a very fancy gaucho hat from Texas. Ole!
We had a great week celebrating our anniversary with friends, new and old, and of course family too. Here's to many more years of fun!

June 14th 2008
3 years ago Sean and I were married. It has been an adventure filled ride so far! I love him today exactly 3 times more than I loved him when we got married. And that's saying a lot. He is the most interesting, strangest, sweetest, most inventive person I'll ever met.
As part of our weekend long celebration of all things Behmah (our nickname) tonight we see the band below with some friends. Ole!
