Ideas...

It's a Thursday night and I'm playing around with jewellery ideas & mice when I should be sleeping...
I'd be interested to know what you think of this new Velvet brooch idea... I know Macro can be a little harsh because the brooch looks larger in the photos than it does in real life, but you get the idea!

Etsy Hunt: Snowy Owl

After returning from a wonderfully warm long weekend in Queensland the other day, this Melbourne cold snap seems even colder!! So I thought it appropriate to hunt for an animal on Etsy who loves the cold... Snowy Owl.Owl print by Acerritino

Etsy Hunt: Snow White

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs... what a wonderful fairy tale. It was written by the Brothers Grimm and was popularised in the last 100 years by a musical and some films which I happen to like (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sydney White, Enchanted).

A Wednesday Night in April

So it's a Wednesday night and I am catching up with my 3 pet mice Mem, Bear and Yasha.
I just got home from the movies, myself and 2 friends went and watched 'The Last Song' starring Miley Cyrus. We were crying for about 25 minutes, it was so sad! I actually like the dress she wore to the wedding in the film. It was a frilly lilac tea dress.

What else has been happening...oh yesterday I put up an A3 poster advertising bramble and bear on a post up wall near my house. Look for one in a town near you!

Well typing just got difficult, Bear is crawling inside my sleeve and tickling the hell out of me!!

Ciao.

Etsy Hunt: Moustaches

I LOVE a good moustache. They remind me of distinguished gentlemen from 1868 who want to dance with you at the ball, court you for 6 weeks and whisk you off to an estate in the country to be married. Unfortunatley some moustaches do not conjure up such dreamy thoughts. Below is an ode to moustaches in the form of handmade etsy loving.

Veggie Patch

Today is all about redoing the vegie patch. Getting rid of carrots and parsnips. Planting strawberries, chives, parsley, rocket and mint.

We like to garden with friends. Here is one of them...

His full name is Marmaduke Hubbard (lives in a cupboard). But we like to call him Ginnie.

Mad Hatters Tea Party

Alice In Wonderland is really popular at the moment. Today Sean and I went to a Mad Hatters Tea Party in the Botanical Gardens.

Some people got really dressed up and looked great! I was a bit boring, just wearing a floral op shop dress I'd just taken in, with a bow in my hair and a rabbit & watch necklace.

The clouds were threatening rain all afternoon but it held off until about 7pm which was great. On of the couples who were there even got engaged that arvo!

I never realised how pretty the Gardens really were until it was getting dark and the rain was coming down.

Fat Face Issue #1

On Monday I had all four of my wisdom teeth out. I had a general anaesthetic which was given through a needle. I felt a cold rush go up my arm and into my head, then before I knew it I was waking up in another room with a man taking cotton out of my mouth.

It is not hurting too badly at the moment.

Mum and Kelly came over today… and we played this Saddle Club game I bought at a garage sale for $4 on Saturday. Sick.

Lucky me I got some gifts too. My grandma gave me this ‘Supernal Tortoise’… wrapped up with the price sticker still on.
